Our Board & Train Program is designed for dog owners who want real-life results but don’t have the time to commit to daily training. Your dog stays with us in a structured, consistent environment where they receive hands-on training multiple times a day, focused on building clear communication and lasting habits.

We work with everything from puppy foundations (potty training, crate training, basic obedience) to more advanced training like off-leash reliability. We also address behavior modification, including fearful or nervous dogs, overexcitement, and helping dogs learn how to settle into calmness. Leash pulling is one of the most common struggles we see—and one of our favorites to fix. Our goal is to help you have a better quality of life with your dog.

We offer 2, 3, and 4-week programs based on your goals. Every dog is different, so we don’t rush the process. Some dogs need more time to fully understand and apply what they’ve learned, and we’ll always recommend the program that best supports long-term success.

Anything your dog needs, we build into the training plan. This is real life training—structured, clear, and tailored to your dog.

Training your dog is only part of the process—training you is the other half. That’s why we include a midway session and a go-home session during the program, followed by three additional follow-up sessions after completion. We guide you through everything your dog is learning so you feel confident maintaining the progress once they’re home.

A big part of caring for dogs is maintaining a clean and safe environment for them every single day.

Crates are fully cleaned and disinfected after every boarder leaves, turf areas are routinely sanitized, and we stay on top of vacuuming, laundry, and daily cleaning throughout the home.

The products we use are dog and cat safe while still being effective against bacteria, germs, and buildup that naturally comes with multiple dogs sharing spaces.

Cleanliness matters here just as much as structure and training.
It helps keep dogs healthy, comfortable, and stress-free during their stay.

We’re working on heel position using low-level stimulation to create clear communication. When I apply pressure, it’s simply information — and the moment she makes the right choice, that pressure turns off.

Welcome Snow ❄️

Snow is a 4-month-old Bernedoodle here for our 2-week Puppy Foundations program, and yes… she is just as cute as she looks.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be focusing on the essentials that every puppy needs to grow into a well-balanced dog:

• Crate training
• Potty training
• Basic obedience
• Beginning leash training

Like many puppies her age, Snow struggles a bit with independence. Puppies naturally want to be close to their humans all the time, but it’s important we start teaching them early that it’s okay to settle and be on their own. Building that independence now helps prevent separation anxiety later in life.

Our goal during these next few weeks is to give Snow the structure, confidence, and foundation she needs so she can grow into a calm and well-mannered companion.

Welcome Aela 🤍

Aela is about a year old, though we don’t know her exact age since she was rescued from a really difficult situation. Despite that start, she’s incredibly sweet and has so much love to give.

She’s a little on the timid side at first, but once she warms up her playful personality really shines through. She’s great with dogs, does well around cats, and is a total love bug.

Aela will be staying with me for 3 weeks of board & train while we work on building her confidence and teaching the foundations every dog needs. That includes:

• Leash training
• Basic obedience
• Confidence building
• Exposure to new environments and experiences

She’s an active girl who’s going to thrive with the right structure and guidance.

Most importantly — Aela is looking for her forever home.
By the time her training is complete, she’ll be ready to start her next chapter with the right family.

I’ve used slip leads on almost every dog that walks through my doors.

But not every dog responds the same.

Some dogs will continue to put pressure into a slip lead even when they understand how it works. And when that happens, it’s my job to choose a tool that creates clarity — not conflict.

For Alfredo, the prong collar was the better option.

When fitted correctly:
• It distributes pressure evenly around the neck
• It requires less force from the handler
• It reduces strain compared to constant pressure on a flat collar or slip
• It communicates clearly through pressure on → pressure off

The tool itself isn’t the issue. Improper use is.

My job is to choose what is safest, clearest, and most effective for the dog in front of me — not what looks the least intimidating.

If one tool isn’t creating understanding, we move to the next best option.

Because training should fit the dog — not public opinion.

I teach place in every program because it’s more than a command.
It’s a safe spot.
A place to relax.
A job for dogs who don’t know how to settle on their own yet.

For dogs like Dakota, whose physical needs can be met and they’re still restless, place gives their nervous system somewhere to land. It teaches them how to stay put even when their body wants to move.

Building a solid place isn’t easy. This is impulse control at its deepest level. You’ll see her pop up, I interrupt with an “uh uh,” guide her back to down, and she chooses to stay… until she finally settles. That’s the work.

And yes—Dakota is tethered here. She’s still in the early stages of learning this command, and management matters before freedom. If your dog is popping off place, use a leash and anchor it to something heavy so they don’t rehearse breaking position while they’re still learning. This isn’t forever—it’s a bridge until the dog truly understands the job.

Be clear with your feedback.
“No” or “ahah” to interrupt the choice.
Guide them back to place.
And if you’re using an e-collar, this is exactly where it can support the command—not punish it.

If you’re practicing this at home, start small.
5 minutes. Then 15. Then 30.
But make sure your dog is physically fulfilled first. Place works best when the body has been met and the mind is ready to learn how to be still.

The ultimate goal isn’t just duration.
It’s for your dog to choose place on their own.

For many dogs, this becomes the off switch they’ve been missing.

2025 was the year I went all in.
I went full-time in this business in January… and there was no turning back.

Somewhere between training dogs, building routines, figuring things out on my own, and getting married to the best husband I could ask for, life shifted in a big way.

I’ve met so many incredible (and very spoiled 😅) dogs — each one with their own quirks, fears, strengths, and personalities. And even more incredible humans who love them deeply and want better lives alongside them.

This year stretched me.
There were stressful days, tearful moments, and plenty of “am I doing this right?” conversations with myself. But the bonds I’ve built with some of these dogs made every hard moment worth it.

Your dogs are special. Truly.
Each one has taught me something — patience, timing, humility, leadership, trust. I see the potential in every dog that comes my way… and honestly, in their owners too.

My goal has always been simple:
to help dogs live the best life they can, and to help people understand that their dogs can do better with the right guidance, structure, and care.

I’m beyond grateful for every person who trusted me, supported me, and crossed paths with me this year. This community means more than you know.

What we can learn from nervous or anxious dogs…

Some dogs are born more sensitive.
Some didn’t get the socialization they needed early on.
And some have just had experiences that shaped how they see the world.

None of that is a bad thing.

The important part is awareness — understanding who your dog is without feeling sad, frustrated, or angry about it. Your dog isn’t trying to make life harder. They’re just navigating the world with the tools they have.

Our job is to coach them into feeling safe.
That means advocating for space, asking people to slow down, and allowing the dog to approach when they’re ready — not when we or others want them to.

Confidence doesn’t come from forcing interactions.
It comes from trust, patience, and a calm leader showing them they’re protected.

When we meet dogs where they are, they learn they don’t have to overreact to feel safe — and that’s where real progress begins.
